It was built in 1951 and is the most powerful in Trentino with an output of 350 MW and an annual production of 760 GWh.
The water derivation that comes from the lake of Molveno has a maximum flow of 41 m3 / sec and a useful jump of 581 m. It is part of a network of pipelines, power plants and reservoirs that develops for all the upper Giudicarie valleys and has a total length of 43.49 km.
Two 2.5 meter diameter penstocks supply 15 Pelton turbines each weighing 1500kg, placed in a large artificial cave of 152,000 m3. The pipelines are also connected to two pumps that allow water to be returned to Lake Molveno when there is little demand for electricity.
